This is the first intersection I come to everyday when I go to work, or go anywhere out of town I live in for that matter. This is also my landmark that signifies I’m almost home when I’m heading back. When you live an hour from most of the places you like to go it becomes a very welcome sight. I’d also like to note that the abbreviation for Illinois has been IL, not ILL, for most of my life. I think I remember writing ILL back in the 80’s. I guess if the sign isn’t broke don’t fix it.
