Chinese Lantern Festival

In celebration of the Year of the Dragon the Missouri Botanical Gardens is hosting an international exhibit, a Chinese Lantern Festival. The event is described as “Art by Day, Magic by Night.”

All of the lantern exhibits were beautiful, and some of them were even crafted out of China plates, tea cups, and even small medicine jars. The Botanical Gardens has always been a fantastic place to walk around during the day, but at night, when they turned the lanterns on, it was even more spectacular. Besides just lighting up, many of the exhibits moved, and some even blew smoke.
