Today was my friend Liz’s birthday. We’ve been friends since high school, and it’s been great that we’ve stayed in touch after all this time. Her birthday dinner was at Asia, one of several restaurants at the Lumiere Place. I had the Kumo Roll. It consisted of soft shell crab, tempura shrimp, cream cheese, avocado, asparagus, fried and topped with spicy mayo, eel sauce and tobiko. It was excellent.
