If you haven’t figured it out by now I’m a huge fan of coffee, and as such, a huge fan of coffee cups and mugs. I know it isn’t popular to like Starbucks because they are a big corporation, but I happen to feel that they just have a good product, and they are successful at getting it out there. I love small business as well, but why hate something or someone just for being successful? My favorite whole bean coffee from them at the moment is their Fair Trade Italian Roast. It’s earthy and delicious, and I love the intoxication aroma that comes with opening a fresh bag of beans.
Now, onto todays photo. I haven’t found very many travel coffee mugs that I have liked, and generally don’t like any of Starbucks’ mugs for a number of reasons, but this one really caught my eye. I love the rustic look of it. It isn’t polished and painted; it looks like it was forged by hand. Aesthetics aside, this also means that when I drop it and bang it around I won’t have to worry about it looking any worse for wear. I have yet to use it, but it will be put to the test tomorrow when I take it to work.
