Day 11/366

Today’s photo is of a really interesting door I happened upon. It’s so weathered that the layers have been eaten away one by one, and part of the wood is in ribbons. I love the way the paint has worn away, possibly revealing the structures past identities, and how the nearby vine leaves compliment the rusty tones. I’d love to know what happened to the lower half of the door. Did it rot away, or perhaps a rambunctious kid drove his big wheel tricycle through it? Those things can get out of control if you don’t pull that handbrake just right…or so I’ve been told.
